Description

I had to solve a serious problem with postwork on this, but I liked parts of it and so I want to share with you all. A reward of a cold beer from my refrigerator to the first person to figure out the problem! Have a great weekend and thanks for your comments.

@sanosoke and inkydigit. You both got it. The end of the world occurs right behind the islands and the horizon, as a result, was too low to be correct. I tried to blend the water and sky a bit to blur the horizon. I guess it is not too good a job. I want to try some different pov shots later, but liked the clouds here. Cold one goes to sanosoke, Bravo.

As is, don't do a thing more to this beauty. A couple of remedies: Perhaps, lighten the color of haze to match the water color; and, increase the haze density so that it would be difficult to see where the sky ends, and the water begins. That beer sounds great ...save me one Steve!

Geez..... Some people must have never seen a large body of water? I can show you image after image of a horizon lines in real Ocean and Sea photos. The world is round isn't it? Excellent Lighting and nice hint of a bliss effect! Needs a canoe or something? You could probably fine one to cut out in the Cabela's sales publication. That and a little Elmer's and your set. ;o) You know I'm just poking fun at you right? Excellent Work Bud!

Sharp end of terrain line/horizon line? sky not meeting the horizon? I got the beer, I got the beer! yes!!!!! Seriously, Steve, I agree with Jay about the horizon. In the real life, horizon exists too, and, hopefully, it is not the end of terrain!

So beautiful! Superb lighting and sky; love the colors, clouds and mood. A very cool terrain, the surface mix rocks. Have to say, when I love out over the Pacific ocean- depending on where I am, there are times when I don't see land..when it seemingly goes on forever. Outstanding work, Steve.

Steve to some TG folks it might be the horizon, but honestly as someone who paints, there truely is one that shows in some paintings, so why not in TG... This is excellent and your sky towards the horizon has that silky feel that comes when the sun hits a cloud just so. Excellent work.

I know what the problem is...there is no marshmellows here...now wheres my cold beer :) Super image just the way it is...I think people worry to much about the end of terrain...I'm going to do one with the end of terrain showing plainly...who cares???

I personnaly have no problems with the horizon and in fact I like it ! The sky is really sensational and the water meets it pretty well I think ! The terrain is lovely and well conceived ! Brilliant work Steve !
