Description

I have never see the Mediterrenean as angry as it is today. I was halfway across the beach pushing my bike when I realised the water was coming in a lot faster than normal so I turned back fast. To my horror I noticed a couple who had been completely suddenly surrounded by water. They seemed rooted to the spot. Then, as a giant wave receded they made a run for it and reached the wall of the port just in time. They spent the next five minutes crawling over the boulders on hands and knees and finally reached the road, the spot where they had been standing now covered in deep water. I couldn't believe the speed of it happening. Even if I owned a mobile there would have been no time to call the lifeguards. Quite glad to be back at home with Arty the dog sitting in a beam of sunlight.

Impressive capture of these angry waves! Although it still has so much beauty I found out nature shows both sides so frequently together, beauty and danger! We have always to remain alert for some change, although living a long time close to the shore makes one well-known with the usual behaviour. So how could this happen? A combination of combined tidal forces and winds pushing the water to your side? Gorgeous work, it must have been quite a thrilling experience but fortunately you could post this picture safe and sound! :)
