Description

We could hear the low buzz of the anti-G engines long before we could see them. It gave us enough time to shut down our equipment and hide in the trees. With a little luck, their sensors wouldn't detect us in amongst all the life of the jungle. The buzz grew louder and we turned to see two WASP ships come over the ridge. They moved so slowly that it took almost 30 seconds before they were over head. We huddled together, hoping that they wouldn't detect us. The trees around us started to rustle and shake from the anti-gravity effect. The zenith passed and the buzz started to shift deeper as they moved on. Still we didn't leave our hiding place until both ships vanished over the far side of the valley. Only then did I let out a long deep sigh. WASP ships created in wings and textured and rendered in Bryce. The photo is one I took in the Smokies and then mixed it all up in photoshop. Thanks for looking.

Outstanding job on the ships, they look truly scarey. I like the story line, too. The integration is very well done. Great job as always, Phil.

Really nice concept, well executed - and I love the story. My only quibble is that the WASPships should be obscured by a little more haze - note how the dark colouration on the ship is darker than the tree shadows up on the ridge... that's the only thing that ruins the illusion. But overall, a very impressive scene!

Plot extract and teaser image seem beeing good enough for a sci-fi horrormovie blockbuster. We need 10 000 time faster PCs ;-)

Nice composition but I do agree with Colin. I was always under the impression they were nto large sort of 6 guys and a keg of beer. Great models.
