Description

The clouds finally rolled in and I'm stuck on the top of this little hill. The elevation is about 11,000 ft level. That pile of rocks ahead seems like it was man made. This capture reminds me of a movie "The Beginning of the End". It also reminds me of Rita's aka sossy's incredible hikes "Sad Winner" . This is for you Rita as you are an incredible person. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Walking on the Island La Palma I have been thinking about you and your photo-graphs of vulcanoes. The scenery you are presenting today is so similar as what we have seen recently on parts of La Palma in cluding the mist!! The unique feature in your area, I would really love to visit, is that the vulcanoes are still very active. In La Palma the last eruption was more then 25 years ago!! Thanks for your nice comments!!!! Have a nice day!! Henk

Aloha Henk. Yes, we have volcanoes that are still active. Just recently, approx 40 acres of lava bench had collapse into the sea and lava is pouring into the ocean. The mountain that I am on now is no problem, far away from the active eruptions. Check it out in our local News Paper. http://starbulletin.com/2005/12/01/news/story02.html Thanks for asking. Aloha

Wonderful dedi to Rita, indeed, now you mentioned her posting I remember the sad top-experience although it might be a bit warmer here. Disappointing but adding to the top-experiences when the sun shines, experiences you've shown in former postings of your's to have undergone as well as this one. Nevertheless a pity to be in the clouds here without an easy way to solve that. Impressive story there, '40 acres of lava crash into the sea', whew! New land, quite a difference compared with our polders! Excellent work, Errol! :)

This is truly beautiful. The mist adds to the mystic. The pile of stones is only a marker. The ambience is everything.
