pigfish is part of my e-mail address. That is what happens when it is 2:00 in the morning on the day all of your furniture arrives at your new home and you finally get to use your computer for the first time in six weeks. Trying to come up with a user name, I looked at my three guinea pigs in their wading pool on the floor and the tropical fish tank on the table behind me.
I currently have three guinea pigs and no fish. One of my piggies was rescued from living in someone's outdoor bushes where she had been for at least two weeks, one from someone else's unwanted litter, and one adopted from a pet store because she had infected injuries. Several guinea pigs at the Texas Rustlers rescue were the models for my free guinea pig textures here at Renderosity.
In 2014, I had to retire on disability because my hands were worn out. I have carpal tunnel syndrome with neuropathy (permanent nerve damage) in both hands. You will probably notice that my use of Poser dropped off significantly at that time. I do what I can but in very brief periods of time. I'm supposed to take a ten minute break for every 5 minutes of typing. I have Dragon NaturallySpeaking software but it is hard to use it with Poser.
2019 was a terrible year for me. I was diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. The medicines help a lot but it's welcome to the land of needles. I was also diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor. Fortunately, my oncologist was able to remove the entire tumor and surrounding organs so I didn't have to do chemotherapy. It was gone! Two months later, I had to have major umbilical hernia repair surgery at Thanksgiving. This year (2021), I received a diagnosis of sarcoidosis for lesions on my liver and swollen lymph nodes in my chest and have two new doctors for that condition. I also have Stage 1 kidney disease. "Getting old ain't for wimps!"
