Yes you saw correctly. I used Bryce but only to make the terrain. Somehow I like the terrain editor better in Bryce than in Vue. Color tweeking in Photoshop and added a little low lying fog.
Mondays really stink so I hope yours is better.

yeah the terrain editor can be really tricky in vue...theres a tutorial on renderosity on editing terrians by robert worth checking out....anywayz...love the mood in this image and the lighting looks fantastic as does the water and low mist...two thumbs up and a vote!

Wonderfull pict, with lighting and grass wich are your sign up. A little restriction is the water wich seems to be lighted from down to up side (like a swimmingpool), and also for the trees wich are so naked !!! Anyway I keep thinking you are one of the best Vue renderer, altough you knock up terrain in Brice !??!

Damn....this is so nice:) Wish I was as good with colors. Simply put a fantastic picture! Is creating water better in vue than bryce? Tried accomplishing a scene with as many trees in bryce but it cant handle it, vue more reliable in that sense? sry for all the questions ;)
