Description

*Medusa* In greek mythology there is always a God who falls in love and is then causing a lot of trouble for everyone involved. In Medusa`s case it was the great Poseidon who fell deeply in love with the only mortal of the three Gorgon-sisters. He kidnapped her and brought her to the temple of Athena.That turned out to be a very bad idea, as Athena was very angry and insulted. Or was it jealousy ? Anyway, she spoke a curse on poor Medusa, her hair turned into snakes and no man was able to look at her beauty anymore without being transformed into stone. Amazing, it looks really gorgeous! She and the overall scene. Actually brilliantly posed. Her inviting expression is very sensuous, and the stone became heroes look very realistically frozen. Excellent composition.
