Description

Shimoda Salmon Festival, Shimoda, Japan, Fall 2005. One of the main events at the festival is the salmon catch; there is a shallow pool where at several scheduled times during the day people could attempt to catch a salmon by hand. When the bell rings, it is chaos upon chaos. What I like about this picture is how busy it is; everything seems to be going on at once :) Nikon FM3a, Fuji Velvia 100, Vivitar Series I 70-210mm.
