Found this little fellow over in Placerita Canyon nearby my home... I believe he is a corn snake ( correct me if I am wrong! - hope not will have to do the whole image lol))
The pic of him opening his mouth didn't come out so focused as i had hoped.( uhm ..., could you get a snake comming at you like that focused ?? LOL)!!!
-So I did a bit of postwork today to try and bring it out better and included other pics too..
Hmm I am not a big snake person here and haha don't really know why I have been running into snakes lately. I don't think these ones are all that dangerous though -i didnt see any fangs... !! heres a little info on the cornsnake here!!..

What a beauty, mate! (Just had to say that in my best Crocodile Hunter impression.) The thing that always gets me about snakes is that they appear so lethargic, then they can lash out so quickly! Easy to see how they surprise their prey. That last shot is the greatest, even if a bit blurred!

A very "cute" snake (if such a thing exists). I had a pet snake when I was a kid. I liked the way his forked tongue tickled my nose. This is a great shot of a colorful reptile. Looks like it actually tryed to bite you. Excellent. V

First impression was a Goffer snake, but then I am not much of a snake person either. they are good to have around but at a distance of course. I am sure you will not forget the experience. Thank you for sharing.
