Description

Elliptical, extreme, long.....such is the orbit of Granite around its brutal star, Wodan. Its seasons as extreme as Granite's orbit, they are nothing we have ever seen, let alone experienced. Between summer (the planet's closest position to Wodan) and winter (The furthest position) lies an era so vast, it can only be compared with Earth's existence up to this very day. It's current season is the one we call summer, although "Hell" would be a more accurate description. All has burnt, the soil cracks under the scorching heat radiating from Wodan. I wonder why the star's called Wodan...... --------------------- The first installment of my newest project: Project Elliptical. A series of 4 images, depicting the 4 seasons on a planet with a HUGE elliptical orbit around the main star of its system. So yeah, there are three more to come. I hope you like this particular piece, and decide to follow it, as Granite's story will unfold with each step...... Terrain is "Eegals" from sisasu.de Sky-image is manipulated stock from Mayang

Cool texturing in the foreground and very nice postwork on the sky :) Atmo and lighting look good! Do I see the end of the terrain? Je bent het in ieder geval nog niet verleerd :-) Poosje geleden dat je gepost hebt...

Amazing dramatic sky and POV- awe-inspiring. Love the colors, light and mood. And the terrain is superb! Beautiful surface..beautiful work, and all so excellent.
