My first picture posted here, but not my first picture created in cinema 4d. It's only a shader-test and to check the correct posting ;-) Using different shaders to simulate the metal charakter of Aimovs Trantor. Please forgive - my english is'n very good....;-)

Great concept............ I always imagined Trantor with a golden metal surface........ I like the bridge, great idea......... lovely surface features............. How about another view of trantor with a viewing tower???? Excellent work

I agree with The GroovyDude. A shot of Trantor from an observation tower would be very sweet :) I like your use of texturing, by the way.

Thanks for your comments! Many pictures of big future towns are very impressive, but in case of Trantor there is a liiittle ;-) problem: there are no windows, because the inhabitants wouldn't see the sky (Asimov wrote...). So it's difficult to fix the scale! And Asimov wrote, too: no end of boring metal surface...
