Description

The B'ha'an: Book I: The Gift from the Sea There were troublesome days--days of hiding, of flight, of doubling back to evade capture. Days of struggling against the terrain, the elements, the wild creatures of the forest, their own exhaustion; for the Bhar-kar-d'esh were relentless in their pursuit, affording them little rest. Whenever they were certain they had finally eluded their enemy, they would discover the ghostly warriors closing upon them once more. Under the constant harassment, they lost track of the hard days of no food, no warm fires, forced marches, and near annihilation. No matter where Sha'a'an led him, Newman consgtantly watched her slender figure, ever on guard, bobbing in and out of the brush ahead of him. His thoughts often focused upon this enigmatic girl, who he knew so little about, yet had come to trust so completely.... Yet there were also days of respite, when their enemy was far away and they had time to stop and hunt for food. Life was good, when rain sent the large hunters to their dens and there was dry shelter, a twitna roasting above a small fire, and there was time for blessed rest. Only during those rare moments, did Sha'a'an let down her guard and allowed herself to relax. *********************** Credits: Newman Figure: Modeled by me in Poser6, using DAZ Michael3; his skin texture by Jepe; his beard by anton Kisiel; his clothing modeled by renapd and thip but retextured by me using leather textures by Nikita Creed and Judith Ward. Cave walls and roof: Unique Rock Formations by the hankster. Campfire: net freebie. Lightning: Think it was a freebie, but not sure and do not remember who created it. Had a lot of trouble with this picture. Needed to make some Alpha mats but don't know how to do it in Bryce. If anybody knows of a good tutorial on that, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you. Made mine the hard way in PSP 5--several times before I got it right. Thanks for looking and for any comments. Jeremy

Nice one ... Not only pleasing to view but I see much commercial value in this piece. Publish children book based on a series of works like this and I'm sure it will go places. Excellent work of art

Hmm, honest ,Tho i like the mood of the composition, there is a lack in textures and some untidy "cuts", i know you can do far better
