Description
Just something that I have been working on for some time now (most of the effort going into research on the ship). I am also trying to make the model relatively low poly so that it can used in scenes with other ships and hi-res water meshes. It's currently about 28K faces and I am hoping to keep the final face count under 50K. Still have the rigging and sails to do before starting the texturing.

craft's menship on the wood decore is great if the ropes are polys maybe you could replace them with a gif texture to lower the poly count abit

I did try using textures for the ratlines but it didn't look good especially from certain angles where it is obvious the lines have no thickness. I will probably use renderable splines for the Max version but since I want to export it to other formats it will have be meshes for the rigging.

I have asoft spot for HMS Victory. I've visited her four times since the age of eight (I'm 47) and I'm sure I'll see her again. I'd love to have this in my collection. Please email me at when it's ready for sale? Many thanks. In massive admiration, Chris.
