Description

The Original Claude Monet ~ Bassin aux Nympheas - We went to a friends sons 1st Birthday Party today ~ The party was at a new friend of my wifes home ~ When we first walked in I immediatly felt this was no ordinary home ~ Built in 1910 and with class ~ My camera was already in hand as we found our way down to a family room - In the center of the sat a real early 20th century Opium Bed - to be posted later ~ My first question was for permission to photograph some of his art work - Obvious originals but also very suited to a down stairs basement family room ~ I ask if there was anything up stairs ? I was welcomed to look for myself ~ I noticed a very old unusual Grand Piano in the Great Room ~ As I admired this treasure my attention was drawn away - Sitting but 10 feet away - The original stright from the master himselfs hand - Bassin aux Nympheas - The conditions where not the best for shooting ~ MY thought was beggers can't be choosey ~ So I did the best I could - I have never seen any thing like this before ~ let alone in a private collection ~ the felling was euphoric ! Please Injoy & Take Care ;)

Our home was built in 1904...but nothing classy about that, LOL. Unless you count our very sofisticated rats. #:oP Sounds like you really had a blast there huh? I know nothing about paintings or painters for that matter. All i know is that i wish i could paint, lol. Thanks for sharing your experience. Have a great sunday! #:O)

Oh wow, this must have been a thrill to shoot such an original painting! Pity the flash did cause some reflections, but alas, as you say, beggers can't be (too) choosey! Fabulous work! :)
