Description

Well, here's another old SMC pic. (For those who dunno what I mean by that, can get more info over by the two other SMC pics I uploaded.. The Giant SeaTurtle, and the Salvage Diver.)
This one isn't as complex as the two previous ones I've shown, but might be my favorite of them all nonetheless.. I like the POV and all that.
Anyhow, as always, everything modeled in Wings3D (freeware modeling app), rendered in oldie RayDream 5.5, and postworked in Painter 5.5

P.S it's more like "kelp-ish" forest I know.. just wanted the over-all look and didn't bother with accuracy that much. I realize it doesn't match real kelp %100, just thought I'd mention that as a pre-emptive strike against any crazy marine botanist that might come along and hassle me about it :P
BTW here's a wiremesh pic of the creature - Wings screenshot, 1x "some edges" smooth preview. And, materials test render

Peter this is such an amazing render... from the POV to the lighting, & the modeling is first class, even down to the little sea snail.... 2 thumbs up :)

Excellent render! I really like the POV on this too, and the little bonus "PeterChovian" details really help bring this to life. Terrific modeling, and who knows? Maybe this is a species of extinct kelp they've never found a fossil of.;-)

Great render to go with your model too. Sort of a retillian manatee. He does look quite cool.
