Description

Lincoln in Lincolnshire is an amazing town altogether with it's narrow old streets that seems to go uphill no matter in which direction you're going...hehe When you are approching Lincoln, you can see the cathedral from far away. It's rising above everything else, located as it is on a hill. Not even the castle is more visible. I guess it says a bit about the power the church used to have (and still have to a certain degree). This piccie was taken from the wall that surrounds what once used to be the castle in Lincoln. I liked all the red houses that seems so small in comparison to the cathedral. And just for some trivial - this is the cathedral that was acting as a standin for Westminister Abbey in the filming of "The Da Vinci Code" during this summer. WOW!!! That is one impressive cathedral!!!! And your capture is sooooo impressive! You managed to get perfect clarity and exposure even considering the weather conditions. Brilliant work Christa!!! It might just be me thats a bit tilted today, but i think it could use just a slight rotation CC-wise...nah, its probably just me thats sitting too crooked infront of lappy, lol. Ha en ljuvlig sdag-kvl!!!! #:O)

hehe...yawp, you're right. The right side of this piccie could be straightened up a bit, it wouldn't hurt. I saw it myself after I put the frame on it, but was hopeing that it was just me...LOL

Beautiful capture of this impressive cathedral! It's HUGE! The size is shown so well amidst all these houses in Lincoln! Excellent work, very beautiful! :)
