Wow, this makes me ask how you did accomplish this!? Is this a giant water basin? And how did the whirl ramin intact? The depth is stunning! Is it a basin that's emptied? Pity you didn't shoot it portrait, then it would have shown even more of the funnel! Very impressive work! :)

For all those who wonder about this twister: As always, this is a real picture taken at the "Kutxa Espacio", a "Science for all" show in San Sebastian, Basque Country, North of Spain. IS as simple as a water containing cilinder with a small helix in the bottom, which creates this(beautiful) water twister of about 2 meters height. This photograph was taken with the camera close to the wall of the cilinder to avoid any perspective. Next photograph (Maelstrom II) is of the same twister, this time, at a looking glass located 45 degrees on top of the cilinder. The of both photopgraphs is an homage to Jules Verne, from the end of Twenty thousand Leagues under the sea
