Description
This was my entry to the renderosity Holiday contest, and now I would like to send holiday greetings to everyone with that. :-)
May the reborn light spark hope and warmth in the heart of every soul on earth and may we not turn our heads from the ones, that need our help most. (Yule 2005)

My grandmother used to read me this story by Hans Christian Andersen around Christmas or New Years Eve and always told me to never turn my head, should anyone need help.

Ohh this is so powerful and dramatic and what an adorable little girl! I will have to read that story tonight when I have more time! I'm kind of at a loss for words on the contest as I didn't agree with some placements at all. This is just outstanding work and i wish you very Happy Holidays!

I saw this picture in the contest, and I could not look enough on it. It is so incredible beautiful done, and I think HC Andersen would have been SO proud to see such a gorgeous picture made after his story of the Little Match Girl, or "Den lille Pige med Svovlstikkerne" who is the original Danish name of the story. You have captured the little girls feelings so well in this picture, and to those who haven't read the story, go on do so :) Absolutely awesome work..this was really the 1st place for me.
