Description

Shot at a recent dedication of a DC3 aircraft. I chose the sepia tone to try and recreate the photos from WWII.

Supurb portrait, great toning and lighting. Really brings out the textures in the scenes.

It's got that WWII feel to it. Especially since now in these politically correct days, smoking probably isn't allowed.

Takes me back to seeing a picture of my Dad on June 5th 1944 as he prepped for the flight. Sadly he is in the final stages of Alzheimers, so with permission, I would like to download this. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!!!!!

I agree with PhrankPower, the cig really gives it the feeling of authenticity to that era, as well as the sepia too of course. Nice job.

Awesome capture ... you should add still a bit of grain and scraches to give it the old look ... but it looks excellent like this too ... he just looks exactly like out of the old days ... wonderful

Great shot and effect. I thought it might have been an old photo. Have you ever tried to take photos that looked like they were in "Technicolor"?

My dad's uncle was one of these guys, I don't know if he was 82nd or 101st. He got the purple heart after being hit in the leg with a piece of shrapnel. I liked visiting him in florida because of the stories he'd tell me frome when he was my age. Great shot.

Great sharp detail on this, brings out the webbing textures nicely. The pose is perfectly fitting for the era youre trying to re-create. Great job on this, well done.
