Description

This is the end of my China series. I took all these pictures in June/July 2005 during a three-week trip to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou (Canton), Dalien, Changchun and Beijing (Peking). All in all, I took some 1500 pictures of which far too many were repetitions or unusable, some personal and of no interest to anyone apart from my family and myself. Mao's tomb? A great closer to your epic series. I never tired of it, but I can image as an artist how you must be itching to start something else. Typical captures of the China imperium that still shows much military power... Gorgeous work, Charles, after 99 it ends!? You must have collected a nice visual impression of your visit there, maybe enough for writing a book! Merry Christmas to you and a happy new year! :)
