Description

I was asked a couple of months ago to illustrate the cover for the December issue of CGWorld magazine using the models from my Christmas card last year. In that issue, I was also asked to write an article about myself (my favorite subject ... LOL) and 3D in general. I have not seen the magazine yet but supposedly it is in transit somewhere between China and here. Now that I look at it, I'm not as pleased as I was when I initially completed it. This will make a fantastic cover! It's a beauty! I hope the purple holds up well in the printing. It is wonderful on the screen, but I've seen so many cases where it didn't translate to ink well. Can we ALL get an autographed copy? :)

Very nice image, but the broad smooth snout seems to create an orange hole right in the middle. Could have used some more detail in this area. But still top notch work.

Congrats Ray!! - it's cool to get your work into another language mag! - in moments of boredom (or drunken-ness), you might do as I did, and try and work out which of your words are represented by which oriental character! lol! - I am sure it will look great when it arrives - post a scan in the forum! :D
