In the midst of life...
...we are in death.
First Anthem from The Book of Common Prayer ____________________________ Someone I loved very much died this week. Today, on my birthday, I found a present from her nestling amonsgt all the others in the pile. There are also Christmas parcels for each of us from her under the tree. Despite knowing for several weeks that the chances of her seeing Christmas were slim, she'd made sure that even though she would probably not be with us in person, she would still be part of our holiday celebrations. This image isn't really a dedication - she's have hated it. My dedication will be next week when we have a service to celebrate her life and I will be singing loudly, honoured to have been part of her family and proud to have known someone so strong and brave, who saved the lives of numerous war victims, and who enriched the world of everyone she knew. I hadn't really cried much until today and now I can't stop. ____________________________

So Very Sorry For Your Dear Loss...
shylydrya
I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish for you during this time, strength and peace. I am so glad to hear you say that you are celebrating her life, not mourning her passing. I know when my time comes, that's what I want. I will be at peace and I want my loved ones to be as well. I'm sure your friend wanted the same. The ending of this life is not really the end...it's just the beginning. Take care. ~Shylydrya~

Aww I am so sorry a big hug for you. I am sure she will love the fact you are celebrating her life. She will probably be smiling down at you in church and would be upset to see you cry. This is an amazing picture big hugs :) Cathy xoxoxo

I regret a lot that you have lost a dear person. I know that in these moments the words don't attenuate the immense pain, but through their tears tries to look in their heart and to remember the beautiful moments next to this person. Excuse my English. A hug, Nuria

I am sorry, honey! I am terrible at these things because I know how painful it can be to lose someone you love. My brother drowned when I was 18 years old. It was a terrible accident and I can remember that the grief was overwhelming. You just have to take it one day at a time and know that there will come a day when it is bearable. If you are like me, you will find yourself sharing sories and memories about her as if she were still here. I believe that our loved ones are still with us for as long as they are remembered by someone. Hugs!

You have my deepest sympathy Ali, I wish I could hug you right now... Your friend sounds like she was a beautiful and inspiring person, she'll keep shining really bright in the hearts of the people whose life she's touched.

As for me this christmas was not that bright and funny as ususal for you. I began crying much later, too, I think that's normal because it takes it's time until we realize that someone beloved is gone and wil not come back. Take good care of yourself and I wish you that one day the good memories will cover those that belong to the sad days.
