Description

I didn't know what to make for a Christmas image this year and it's hard to feel motivated when it's so hot here... but a quarter of an hour or so ago I wandered out of the front door to see the sunset and just had to take a photo! This is exactly as it was: for a few minutes everything was bathed in this wine coloured light :-) Nikon Coolpix 4500 - no cropping or postwork of any kind. Thank you for viewing and Merry Christmas to you all! All the best for 2006 and stay creative you guys! :-)

Wonderful colored clouds! As it is cold and gray and raining here, this view is a great gift for the eyes. Have a nice Christmas Jim, and Cassie too!!

Unlike the colors I usually see. Beautiful mellow feel to this wonderful visual gift. Thank you Jim. I know the feeling of a Christmas in heat. I grew up in California and we never had anything but sun and an occasional small amount of rain. Kind of hard watching TV shows of snowy Christmas scenes, but never seeing snow outdoors. A very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year Jim. Maybe you can catch Santa in his speedo and surfboard. :D Hugs, Suzanne

It's like something's burning there - maybe the air! lol A really beautiful photo, Jim! And delightful - seen from here, cold and dark North. I have to second Bev: enjoy your Christmas in the sun! :-)

It looks as though you tinted the sky for this. A truly dramatic shot!Sorry, I still haven't prepared an Xmas image, so I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a fun-packed Christmas and dreams-come-true new year! (Xmas DVD: Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Recently issued in Japan!)

It looks like a generic gradient filter over the lens, I know, as I had one of those for my old SLR. Promise you though, the sky really was this colour, I didn't do a single thing to this image ;-)
