I also want to thank you for all your superbs and so kind messages and comments on our last posts... You touched my heart, and your friendship help me to be strong. I hope you had all a wonderful Christmas !!! Tonight I would like to share something with you. The 16 of November, when I was in the region of Chanthaburi in Thailand, it was the LOY KRATONG festival, and for me, for the first time, the opportunity to share this incredible festival in Tapsai, the small village where I was near the jungle, and with all the people of the village. This festival, and this tradition in Thailand is important as Christmas for us, that's why I think to show you some "Khratong" on the river. It's one of the biggest festival in thailand (second only to Song Kran day).Loy Kratong festival happens on the fullmoon night of the 12th lunar month all over Thailand. This festival can trace its origin in India as a form of giving thanks to the Goddess of the river. People all over Thailand celebrate this event by making a wish and launching small vessels (usually made from banana tree and leaves) into the rivers. With the family where I lived for 10 days, we prepared our "Kratong" all the afternoon, cuting a banana tree, and then the decoration made with leaves and flowers. All that with the children, it was really a beautiful day for all of us ! And the night, we go together to the village and offer our Kratongs to the river... Really a magic and impressive moment. The Godess of the river accept mine... and the one of my friends. That's mines one year of happyness for all of us ! I want to believe in that too !!! If you want to learn more about this splendid tradition, just click here : "The Loy Khratong Festival"

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! *** JOYEUX NOEL !!!

Thank you for all your so kind comments on our Christmas Tree of yesterday !!!! "Merry Christmas - Joyeux No
