Description
Hold high the blade
As a Master born to strike
I take the pen in hand
And continue to write
To heed not to frustration
Against the winds of imagination
This is all false and fantasy
The mighty blade gets the best of me
Will not my soldiers
That line in standard form
Along the edges of this mission
Battle the distracting storm
I fall into oblivion
Where I begin to paint the fields
With images I can defend
With names that are not real
No invasion breaks through
The barrier I have constructed
My army is well equipped
And very well instructed
I seek only the conclusion
To self satisfy
That I can turn reality
Into my own little lie
Sharp is the blade
Of this Master born
The scrolls of pages
By the pen now worn
Along shadows on a dim lit wall
Fading into the deep
With blanket dragging down the hall
I now head for sleep

We all have a favorite writer, and I have had some that I might consider favorites, excellent writers they are and have beenYet I could never hold them close enough to my heart, to really feel as if their imaginary worlds were something, somewhere I might enjoy on going, thus in reality when thought about I never until now could say I have had a single favorite writer above all others I have read Thank you dearly for sharing and yes, doWrite on!
