Members of the 3001st Airborne take to the skies of Olympus, a year after the formal end of the Sex War. Terraforming continues apace; the immense shape to the right is the new Residential Quarter 117 of Cotopaxi 9. Males repetitively stage revolts against female rule, too; this is the seventh on this planet so far. Some women advocate the harshest measures to deter rebellion. Commanding the planetary forces, Raz Terrennn implacably opposes the use of lethal force. The males are excavating caches of arms buried during the war, when the guns in question were already obsolete. Now every StarGirl, civilian as well as military, has layers of protection, each one rendering her immune to the rebels' actions. Add in female powers of mindcontrol and the male threat vanishes into nothingness. Just in case her troops feel tempted to overstep their orders, Raz often joins the Airborne raids. As the troops scramble to don their flightpacks and prepare their weapons, the base's teleportation node glows "ACTIVE" and, shimmering in her immaculate, black skinsuit, ready for combat, the StarGeneral materialises. Future threats, Raz tells her troops, will come - are already coming - from their own sex. The time for anti-male fear is long past.
