Description

I took this shot about a month ago on Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, England. Early morning mist hung low over the woodlands as the sun came up. I came across this place with shafts of sunlight penetrating the mist and turning the bracken and leaves to gold. The quality of light was superb almost magical.

I increased the colour saturation and contrast some to make it look more as I remembered the scene, but the colours are real. We had some beautiful autumn colours this year.

Wow, a glorious 'good morning' that greets you here! Are these colors real? The golden tones I do relate more to the moments close to sunrise, but it seems to me the sun is standing too high for these yellow tones. Gorgeous work anyway, a stunner! :)
