Description

Lately I have shown you quite a lot of animals, cats and dogs and reindeers. A bit unusual for me, so I feel at least, and I promise, this is the last one for a while. I can't ignore my own Simon, quite alive and my mate since four and a half years. We are so alike, hermits both of us. He never bothers me when I work on the computer, but when I turn around, he is there in a blink, just dying for a little scratch under the chin :-) He is his own master, does not care much of people, especially not children, maybe he has not been treated well, but is very affectionate to me. Gun, this is the best of them all. A perfect painting of Simon. What a special bond you both have. Love and kindness has no limit to a particular species. I hope you don't abandon this wonderful animal art that you do. It is quite lovely and so very well done. V

Awwww...animal pictures are among the best. they're so good because it's not often one is able to get the chance to snap them. Besides...the postwork is wonderful too...the whole thing looks really dreamy. Well done.

Being a cat lover and having one on my lap right now, i fully understand what it is your write. Your Simon is precious and the way you captured him and did the postwork, I think this is just great and perfect. So no big deal when it does not conform to your usual work. Having been permitted to see you grandchildren and sharing with us part of your life is special and I for one feel honoured. So I'll just say 'thank you'. Egmont

What a handsome little bugger. My cat Spooky is some what the same as him. Only comes when SHE feels up to it and also is funny about children. But we sure do love them just the way they are. Nice kittie, that Simon of yours.

well now i want a painting of my fave cat.. sure my mother would like one too.. so much to learn & do.. so little time.. will save this to go by.. i get so wrapped up thinking so much detail needs to be in it but this is perfect! & he's a gorgeous cat! ;]
