Description

Hello, my name is elvensong. About a week ago Ranlinde talked me into downloading DAZ. Now I am hooked *g* I am using the loaded content to figure out how the program works and what I might need to continue on. Please feel free to give me hints or point things out. There is so much to learn! The strawberries are the only imported item... a freebie from Faery-dreams.

Very pretty. The little mushroom and strawberries give it a personal touch.

I personally really like your image fairies are my favorite! Boy you can download every freebie here at R'osity and would pretty much work w/DAZ listed as Poser. Great character skins here for free are from mari_e17 and vali. At least thats my opinion. Any other questions please IM me and I will help you as much as I can I dont mind.....shanpoo ;}

Thanks :D I am downloading tons lol. Ran can tell you, a few years ago I didn't know how to copy/paste, so this is huge for me. I am hoping I am catching on to how things work, apparently for some items you need another item first. I think I might have a mess on my hands, but I am delighted with it none-the-less. I didn't know there was so much out there. This is the coolest thing ever!

Great job posing, and nice scene! It looks like you used the preview render, though: Go into the render settings (on the Mac, shift-command-R; you can choose it from the menu, too) and select the software renderer. Also, my old eyes had trouble finding the dragonfly that small; you can change the output size in render settings, too! It looks like you have a natural talent; I'm looking forward to what happens when you gett it all figured out! You should see MY first render! :D Or maybe not...

wry grin I haven't gotten to the 'preview render' section of the manuel yet lol... I can't wait to figure out what it is you just said. My ignorance on this subject cannot be overstated. And I agree on the dragon fly, it was a horrible frustration to me... for the longest time I was trying to poke around and get it to be visible with all of the little buggers face on... I was so happy when I figured out how to turn them. The difficulty seeing them was why I added the point light before I had figured out what a point light was ROFL Thank you for the compliments, I am really looking forward to seeing what happens when I figure things out too.

It is great to see that you are hooked. It also happen to my. To improve your skills you only will have to practice a lot. Other thing that can speed up is to go to the Daz Forum here at Renderosity or at Daz. Try maybe to play first with the parameters window and than with the surface window. You can find them in the Windows menu. Have a great fun playing around. Jacques

Ahh wonderful.. I know what you mean about geting hooked. My dad introduced me to the world of rendering when I was little. I never messed around with it enough to know how to do anything. Then years later I broke down and downloaded Daz Studio. I also have Poser 6. Which I don't use very often. I have a feeling that you will become a Excellent renderer.
