Description

No story this time; just a comment on humankind's ongoing economic-ecological activity. The ecological environment has suffered from our economic policies ever since people climbed down out of the trees. And we are called the "thinking people!" Amazing. I suppose someday, we will all wake up and realize that our ultimate survival will be due to pure water and breathable air. However, I don't hold out too much hope that we will ever come to our senses. Credits: House, logs, and barrels: model and textures by Chikako Hatanaka. Log pile and barrels: by same. Well: top part by Brycetech and log bottom by me. Stumps: some net freebies and Trees: by oldworld. Man: DAZ M3 morphed by me with clothing by PoserWorld but retextured by me. Girl: DAZ Laura morphed by me with clothing also by PoserWorld and retextured by me. Log wagon: Stripped down and retextured version of the Slinger's battering ram with a wagon tongue added by me. Terrain texture: by Jonathan Allen. Thanks for looking! Constructive or encouraging comments are appreciated. Jeremy

Reminds me of historical claims that some civilizations fell simply because resources such as wood was removed for long distances around ... little diffent than what is now happening in the rain forests. I agree with you. I doubt mankind can or will even attempt to learn in time.

Great scene and clearly written thoughts that we all would do well to think about! I really like this! Happy New Year!

I have read somewhere that in early America the European colonists believed that the wildness of untouched nature was the domain of evil and that it needed to be "tamed" and cultivated; brought under the domain of man.
