very early morning, going to visit the valley of the Kings (later, it would be unbearably hot) luckily, the sun rises exactly when we are near the colossi on Memnon, gazing forever on infinity...

This is a superb capture of two of my favorite statues! I've always loved ancient Egyptian sculpture and I hope to see these live and in person some day. This image, however, does superb justice to the scene, and I love the sense of color and shadow here.
