BIOAs a digital artist, I have been doing cg scenes for about a year and a half. Oddly, I discovered cg quite by accident. However, it quickly evolved into a passion, and almost every minute of my free time is devoted to my experiments and scenes. The software I use is Vue 5 Infinite, with a good bit of Photoshop thrown in. I am facinated by light, and usually spend most of my time tweaking lights.
I love drawing, but actually drawing somthing on paper is difficult for me. I usually sketch out my ideas on the computer with a tablet. Occasionaly I draw something worth looking at, so I spend some time on the details.
I also play the trombone non-professionally. My favorite digital artist is probably Greg Martin (artofgregmartin.com), with Thomas Krahn (thomaskrahn.com) as a close second.

Lito Nicolai

this is really wonderful work. The tex's are just about as tight as a drum head. Very realistic looking. Excellent work.

I've just bought the procedural terrain tutorial from Cornucopia and have started to play with this 'concept' myself. I'm nowhere near this standard though :) Excellent terain and materials.

I wish I had the money to buy the procedural terrain tutorials. I forgot to mention, all materials and functions are my own, bar the mid-level sand (obviously the default). I'm glad you all like it! I spent some hours studying TroC's scenes for inspiration.

I always look for the realistic value in Vue and you have nailed it here. Good work.
