Like most artists I started out very young. I started drawing silly cartoons, mainly inspired by artists like Franquin. When I was a little older, I started reading more mature comic books and was blown away by the style of Henk Kuijpers, a very successful Dutch comic book artist. From then on, I endeavoured to improve my drawing style to draw more realistic scenes, but always with a comic taste.
Instead of taking the plunge into the uncertain world of trying to become a successful artist, I followed through on my other completely unrelated passion for astrophysics. This education robbed away a lot of my time and my drawing came to a screeching halt. I put a checkmark at "source of income" now, so I'm moving back to my roots and start drawing again (when I'm not distracted by games, movies, tv-series, piano and of course work).
I hope you'll enjoy my new, and maybe old work and please leave comments, both critical and non-critical are welcome :).
cheers!

Nice. I think the hair is beautiful. You could sell that to the Poser people. I wish I could get noses to work that well. I draw a girl and she looks like a very pretty Tellarite(Trekkie thing: pig people). Do a little shading on the face and she'd be a kissable little pastry.

Thanks, i wanted to do some shading but i didn't dare to experiment on her :). I'm not very good with shading i still gotta learn that somehow.

Nicely done! However, I think something in the background would have made this picture a most excellent work!
