Description

Hello. This is an experiment with light and composition. Modelled in Maya 6.5 and rendered with mental ray with caustics. All comments gratefully accepted.

I think it's an awesome material, and a decent render! Perhaps tweaking the caustic settings would produce a more intense effect? But it does look very clean and realistic, good work!

Beautiful work -- this very much appears as ice does when exposed to the (caustic) effects of salt. The only thing missing is a glass of water in which to float it!
