Description

Another year comes to an end soon. Father time, has gotten old, and moving on for the birth of another year. Most of us tend to think of time as the enemy. But is it really? Perhaps time is more a friend, than an enemy. We are given a span of life, none of us know how long. Perhaps our sojourn here is time's way of letting us know how precious life is, how precious love is, how precious we are. If you lived to be 300 years old, what do you think you would accomplish? Or if you lived a thousand years and knew you had seemingly unlimited time, how much would you accomplish? Would you squander that time, thinking you had so much until it was almost gone? Would you make new discoveries, cure diseases? Would you just live a happy fulfilling life? Every day is a new page of life that we can fill with the ink of experience. Once written, that page is as if written in stone. We can't get it back. It is gone forever, except from memory. Perhaps time is telling us that the living is what is important, the doing. Stopping to smell that rose, to give a helping hand to someone who needs it; to spend time with your child at play, read a good book, spend time with that one you love and realize how precious and important they are to you. Time waits for no man, or woman. Don't waste it! So on this eve of the new year, my wish and hope for you is that you will be mindful of time, use it wisely, but enjoy it too.
