The scene involves one of the brothers - Stephen - and his lady love - Lady Jessica Chenowith. I took liberties with coloring. Stephan is more of a tawny blonde, and I used the male model that I use for my 'William' character (shameless plug for my books,). Anyway, I spent a lot of time on this picture, and just liked the way it came out so much, that I thought I'd share. Enjoy.

Book Description
J.W. Coffey's new novel, The Brothers Campbell, the first in a series chronicling the adventures of Stephan and William Campbell, two brothers with different values and one common, deadly enemy. Sir Douglas Campbell, the benefactor to the small town of Edin-on-Norwich, has been brutally murdered in his own home. It is up to his sons to find his killer and avenge his death. But the brothers have two very different perspectives on justice. Stephan, the older brother, embittered at an early age and emotionally scarred, sees justice delivered only by the blade of his sword. William, the younger brother, is filled with a youthful idealism that leads him to believe that there is always an alternative to violence. How will these two work together to find their father's killer, and see that justice is truly delivered?

I used a bunch of different elements in this one, I don't think I can list them all. The models are Mike and Vicki 3, his clothes are Refined Tastes with some original morph work to make them fit better. Her outfit is a combination the MFD from DAZ and some a pirate blouse. The background is 'The Study' from Daz. The male figure morph is original, the woman is Crissy with tweaking. The hair is 3Dream, Agent and History, with a lot of hand painting done in post work. The skin textures are Jose and Eva by Shahara with tweaks and postwork applied.
I rendered this large and was having trouble with keeping the textures from disappearing. (Poser does this) So I rendered it with no textures first, then with only skin textures, then with only cloth textures, and married them together in photoshop, with a lot of other painting and tweaking and layering for lighting. I never like the way Poser characters sometimes look like maniquins, so I take a lot of time to try to soften them and make them as natural as possible. I agonize over shadows and small details to the point I was up until 3am on this one.

Oh my!! That's it, exactly. Just after Wenna has lied about him and left. Just after they've fought and he's convinced her it was all lies. Just before they make love on the carpet, in front of the fireplace. Hair color notwithstanding, this is exactly what I saw when I wrote it. You have captured that one moment so well. The room is perfect. Thank you!! And excellent job, m' lady!
