Description
This heron was captured the same day as my Black Crowned Night Heron shots. This is the reason the Night Heron flew away..this guy is territorial and kept chasing the Night Heron away. In many ways I'm thankful for this Heron as it afforded me the chance to catch the Night Heron in flight...he's still a big bully tho-. Many thanks for viewing and commenting on my images last year as it has been such a treat to read each and everyone's comments. I am especially proud to have made this months Gallery of the Month, and am still floating from the high! Many thanks to the staff at this fabulous site for their consideration...What a great way to start the New Year...

OMGosh, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Though it doesn't surprise me at all .. you are one helluva photographer. Seems you have really come a long way in such a short time ... I admire you. Now for this photo .. it's absolutely gorgeous. At first I thought it was a painting; there is something about it that makes it look like a painting, but then the feathers and all tell me otherwise. Wow, an impressive capture of this beautiful heron! Am I wrong or is this capture a bit bluish? Perhaps the distance that added some blue tones like I have with my long distance captures? Fabulous work, love to see this bird so in detail! :) Congrats on your GotM, well-deserved for your wonderful contributions!
