Description

Here's another progress image from Vertix City, taken from 2nd street looking southward toward the bay. Done with MicroStation. Rendered in 10 minutes with a 1 gigahertz AMD machine equipped with 780 megs of memory. I used a previously-saved raytracing solution to save rendering time.

I can appreciate the detail you are working on here. I plan to do a whole series on structures. Mainly futuristic buildings. Cant wait to see the final.

great scene! its nice to hear you've just rendered this in 10 minutes. love those structures and textures! however may only comments are, i am confused with the scale of those palm trees and street lightings...and i think you need to put some people and cars to make the place busy... have a nice day pal! :))

Well, it seems to be paying off with the new computer, it is a lot faster. In this image, i cant help to notice the stern of the ship to the right hand side...could you place it more in view as i fell it should be a focal point of the bay.....just gives you more to look at.....if this wasnt enough!! LOL.....Great modeling, well done

Hi Ted, nice to see you with quite a lot of buildings in your virtual city. Maybe if you put some spheres right on the top of the palm trees (coconuts?), you can hide where they spring from the trunk. That, and the grass seems a little too bright. Otherwise, a great image!
