Description

I'm not sure if this is supposed to bloom this time of year or not??? But, to my surprise, a new year flower was blooming for me. So, I'll share it with you. This is a Helleborus Red Lady, called a Lenten Rose. I hope you enjoy this one... ;)

Beautiful capture of a beautiful flower. The colors and details are striking. I suspect that the flower itself has a pretty good idea of when to bloom unless you have been doing un-natural things to it, lol.

Helleborus, we have some species here too belonging to that family that bloom early in the year. In the Alps there is a Christmas rose that, according to my literature, blooms from January to April. Gorgeous macro capture, Akemi! :)
