Description

As Duncan MacCleod nears the Pool of Immortal Engergy, his senses tingle, and he looks up to find another immortal has the same intentions as him....to take the power from the pool. "That power is mine, Highlander" Thoraon growls. "Over my dead body" replies Duncan in his Scottish lilt. "Then a battle it shall be then" Thoraon says to the immortal opposite him. "Then dont talk me to death....lets get in on....for there can be only one!" Duncan exclaims.

Figures made in poser 4, landscape and lighting done in bryce 5, image conversion done in PSP7. Render time was 3 hours 22 minutes.

Nice image. The depth and scaling of the people does not seem to matchup right. Thoraon seems to be about 1.5 scale of duncan even when you take in account the depth of field. Thoraon also needs a sword. P.S. I remember the pool water as being a bit more brackish blue-green.

lol, to clear up the scaling issue, some history on Thoraon....he's actually an ancient giant, an immortal older that any known....I gave the giant a club instead of a sword to show his cockiness in his strength....strong enuff to decapitate a man with one good swing. I'll work on the pool some more tho, it really does need more work, and the textures on Thoraon didnt come out like I wanted, but by the time it rendered, i was so sick of "waiting for paint to dry" I just posted it as is....the water was actually darker, until i put the orb light near it...I had to sacrifice either a good lighting effect for the pool water, but like I said, I think I know a workaround...thanks for the comment, I just noticed someother things that need fixing too....lol
