Description

What no sky or ground!!! lol This is a texture and lighting test on my Parthenon, and is close to the finished product in which I set out to do. I have also recreated the whole interior of the Parthenon with the exception of the 40ft statue of Athena, which I have yet still to model. Thank you for your time. Zeno

Excellent. How'd you do the little figures? Would be nice to see how you managed their garments.

Thank you. The little figures are a photograph, which serve a purpose to indicate the sense of scale to the viewer.

Looks like you included the bow on the pillars. That little detail about the parthenon fascinates me. Can't wait to see the interior shots. Nice job with the photos, as well. No small trick to integrate them so well they look modeled.

Amazing!!! Really cool job! I have a question though...the column parts are as they appear today...were those parts (rather the line between them) of the columns visible then??

Excellent work!!! I'm new to 3D animation and Lightwave, but I can still see how good this is as I am trying it myself for college. I'm interested to know where you got the triangular image. Jeez, the pillars even have the right details with their angle to the ground and everything

Small render but majestic subject very well done. I went there to admire the real thing in Athens, and also to the other parts, as exhibited in the British Museum in London, and you did it proud. Happy New Year!

Hey Gavin! It's a pleasure to find you again! Thanks for your comment and let me say that you're doing a great job with 3D architecture. I'm taking a look at your website; the "Mitchell Library" and the Acropolis with its building are amazing! Soon I'll ask you some advices about building modeling. This "Parthenon" is fantastic and it would be great to zoom some fragments.
