Description

This is one of the shots my husband took while he was out on the road last week. If I can remember right, he said this one was taken in Kansas, early morning. He says he saw no planes or anything like that, so he's not sure where the streaks in the sky come from-but they're pretty cool!!! Have to apologize for no posts or comments for two days. Been doing my beginning of the year cleaning-everything!!!! Got lots to give to the churches here! So, please do enjoy this post from my hubby, Duane. He did a pretty great job considering he was driving down the road. Hope everybody has a great day/week and your new year's going great! Love and hugs, Velvet.

Interesting and intriguing....I'm supposing the streaks are vapor trails???

See those a lot over Phoenix. Unmarked white planes. Someone I talked to thought they are military. The streaks just sit in sky getting bigger all day once they've been made. Some times the sun hits them at sun set and they get that rainbow-ish pattern in them like seen in greasy puddles after a rain.

When I was a little girl, my Mom used to call those marks "sky scrapers". It was only after I got older that I knew that's what they called the big buildings in large cities. Give hubby a pat on the back. He done good. ;)

A "Nice" photo. Sorry to be rude but there's no way I'de call it excellent. What you see are called contrails and they are made by planes, look it up if you want to find out more. The reason why I don't think it is excellent is that although the photo does catch the morning light quite well it's obviously out of focus and it doesn't show anything particularly interesting. It's also too small and appears to be over compressed.

The streaks would've come from planes and as long as there is no wind up there they will stay...

I agree that it is contrails, but does make for an interesting picture. I always enjoy seeing them. most jet creates them from moisture being condensed over the wings and forming clouds
