It's true that the ones closest to us sometimes cause us the most pain..it takes courage to become your own person and I applaude you. This is a very powerful work and and SO very well done.

There is a sort of dichotomy to "Perfection" - To be perfect means you are apart from those who are not, thus you are imperfect - you don't fit in. To be imperfect means you mesh with those around you, thus you perfectly fit in. Your poem was perfect. We feel your pain and we empathize; we see your courage to bear this burden of self exposure and we understand. By sharing something deep and personal you brought others in - you are not alone. That is something to remember. :-)

Continue to write about this; it may well be the key to freeing your perspective of someone who affects your life so deeply.
