Well, I never claimed to be a painter (and I'm certainly not going to start on the strength of *this* image, LOL!), but I swore to myself I'd paint something for the 2D theme challenge or die trying - and I'm still alive and here it is! :-P Did it all myself with just the paintbrush and the retouch tool - the only plug-in effects are the canvas texture and the frame. Obviously, I need all the help I can get (highlights, shadows, perspective, etc) - comments and suggestions definitely welcome! :-) Thanks for looking!

10 for effort : ) make your flames less opaque & the bottom of the round candle round not square! & you're there ; )

I like the colours and highlights on the candles. Also the 'glow' around the flames is most effective! ;-)>

I see what bevchiron means about rounding the bottoms of the candles, but still, this looks great! It would make a nice Christmas card. :D
