Description

Nikon 7900 image. This is the last of the garden scale pics for now. This is a night shot of the train I showed in pics 1 and 2 of this series - which can be seen here (http://www.renderosity.com/photos/GAL_200511/GalleryImage1097430.jpg) and here (http://www.renderosity.com/photos/GAL_200511/GalleryImage1098124.jpg). I realize it is not the best of the images in this series but it does show the train with all working lights on. This is the first night time action shot I have tried and I discovered some of my own inexperience and my new camera

Its a pretty cool image! Not sure if is a result of any postwork, but the lights are a bit blown out (over exposed) A tripod or monopod would help hold the camera still and avoid shaking, which can cause blurred images! The 7900 has not manual controls over shutter speed or aperture. You could try increasing the ISO, but that would introduce more noise!

Ahhh, those pretty lights inside the wagons add a special mood! Not easy to shoot them best, but you gave it a wonderful shot! :)

Thats cool, would love to have one of these in my yard. I can sympathize with you on the new camera, going through the same thing right now. I think its pretty good for a night shot.
