My father used to collect small pebbles from the beach, take them home and polish them using his stone polisher. The process took days or even weeks. I remember the magic of opening the polisher to reveal the beautiful coloured stones - torquise, jade, amber, clear, pink, amethyst, agate and some with small pieces of plant material in the middle. My father passed away some years ago, God bless him, but I still have the polished stones. This image reminds me of those treasured memories.
