More of mamith moma from yesterday
in these you can see her size better
and more of her markings and beautifull
color's oh I know ou gross, for those who
missed it, here's what she is
Black & yellow Argiope ( Argiope aurantia)
males are 1/4-3/8" (5-9mm) in size
Females 3/4-1,1/8" (19-28mm)or are supost to be
but she put some turantulas to shame in size
she was bigger then my hand,over 6" long 150mm
her abdomen was bigger then a golf ball,and
you can see some of her stretch marks
you can see that she bent the bullrush reids
which are not easy to do, the one's she's on are
over an inch wide, but thanks for all your
comments on my last post, there's more detail

Those are fantastic views. It's an incredible thrill to see one so big I can only imagine how you felt being right there with the camera. I still just can't get over how big she is. Amazing. By the way has anyone seen my cat... :D

Wow I like these even better than yesterday's. You can see the texture of her skin. The type of agriope spider around here gets big but not like that!

What a perfect close up.Excellent What do they eat? People? Glad you took it not me. I do like taking pics of spiders, but when they are that big...nope.Never seen one never want to.

This one is really small.... the Tarantula are impressives. I've always been interesting by snakes and spiders... Probably because I grow in Africa, and when we were children with my brother, we play with a family of Tarantula who was near the window of our bedroom ;o))))) And they where so cute and kind ! Lol ! Never had a problem with a spider ;o)))) And this one, the Argiope make me think to the Tarantula, for the colors... I love your serie, I'm going to see the other shots of Big Mama !!! V
