Description

Many houses dot this shoreline along this conservation area in Vacationland. Houses are build right on the lava, over the water. High tide brings the water into their garages and under the house. Many of these houses have fish ponds right in their front or backyard caused by the tide levels in this area. I noticed while walking in this area many foundations where houses once stood, but the tide had claimed them during storms in this area. The view here is splendid, but the toll on your house from the constant battering from the elements makes me think twice about owning beach front property. Thanks for having a looksee and Yeeeeeeeha, have a great weekend! Aloha!

What a beautiful view! But at what cost? This certainly would make for a wonderful second home, meaning you would have to have another house if this one were to perish into the sea. I love the stairway on this house and the still waters and reflections beside it! Do you have hurricanes there as well?

Actually I think they shouldn't be allowed to build so close on the shore line, it's dangerous and not good for the environment either. I say move them back!!!!!! When the storm comes in and beats the house up, then all that debri is in the beautiful ocean..... IMHO!!!!!!!! now for your photo, excellent!!!!!! ;) off my soapbox now... whew!!!!!!

WOW it would be awesome to wake up to that every morning! But I couldn't live with the fact that one good storm could take it all away. Beautiful capture!

As beautiful as it is and noted as built along the conservation area, I wonder where all their waste goes? I don't think I'll be swimming there. Beautiful capture. Aloha

Doesn't seem like much of a beach. Give me an ocean view from a cliff house any day! Still, makes for a lovely shot! ;]
