The weeks after the winter solstice had always been a time of change for her. It was during one of these weeks, she had been chosen to be a pupil of a Master Bladesinger. A Bladesinger is an elf so named because of the song their sword sings as it cuts through the air. This song is called the bladesong, a combination of the already prestigious arts of sword craft and magic in such a way as to cast spells through the intricate patterns of the sword. It was after this training that she found herself returning to the woods of her adolescence to look up her childhood friends and join them in the druidic celebration of the returning sun. But the training of a Bladesinger takes centuries, only long enough to see her become a young adult; however, she soon finds that her human friends have long since left this world.
