Description

This was my camera's first day out. We went on the old 'Puffing Billy' steam train from Belgrave to Emerald Lake in Melbourne Victoria. A great trip through fern covered Mount Dandenong and for any train buffs and kids of all ages. I took this shot after a family BBQ. I saw the train at the siding and thought it looked good peeking out from the trees. It was not until I uploaded it at home and found that there was more to my pic than I first thought. A driver was sitting on the tracks, deep in thought as he held a pink flower in his hand - hence the title. I have masked half of the pic in a sepia tone with PSP to follow my thought line of him looking back into the past and enhanced the flower. Hope you like it. Jenny

Well done all over. Like the effect of halfing the colo(u)r and the overall mood you've captured. Looks like a 3F Jinty or some derivative. Nice.

I love it!!! First of all I absolutely adore old steam locos, and the juxtaposition of that massive piece of antique machinery and the very human engineer with the delicate flower in his hand, caught in reverie, is nothing short of fabulous IMO!! I also love the way you've so tastefully and effectively created a bridge between the past and present with the sepia effect. Kudos!!
